From Clay to Community: Meet the Young Team Behind Aavya Pottery and Art Studio

Most people imagine pottery studios as quiet places run by old masters with decades of experience. At Aavya Pottery and Art Studio in Rishikesh, the story is refreshingly different.
Our teachers are young. They’re learning, experimenting, sometimes failing, and often laughing right alongside you. It’s not about polished perfection — it’s about energy, curiosity, and the courage to grow in public.
A Young Team with Big Energy
At the heart of Aavya Pottery and Art Studio are:
Pavas – steady, patient, forever experimenting with new shapes.
Shivani – the multitasker, moving between spa, café, and clay with equal flair.
Samridhi – playful and bright, bringing a fresh spark to every class.
Saloni – creative support, adding ideas and a strong pair of extra hands.
Together, they make the studio what it is: young, raw, real. Every pot they shape, every class they guide, every laugh they share is part of a journey that’s still unfolding.
Learning in Real Time
We’ll admit it openly: our team isn’t made of untouchable gurus. They’re students of clay themselves — learning fast, practicing hard, and sharing their progress with you. When your pot wobbles, chances are one of theirs has too. That honesty makes the space light, human, and welcoming.
From time to time, we invite renowned artists and sculptors to come through — not always to teach, but simply to practice. Because the studio is also meant to be a space where serious artists can find their flow, surrounded by mountains, forest air, and the unique energy of Rishikesh.
A Fomenting Pot of Creativity
This is the dream for Aavya: to be more than a pottery studio. To be a fomenting pot where different art forms, people, and energies meet. Sometimes that looks like travelers sketching by the arched windows while locals throw clay on the wheel. Sometimes it’s dancers, yogis, and painters crossing paths in the café. Sometimes it’s just an artist from another city quietly practicing, adding their presence to the mix.
We don’t plan to hold long formal residencies yet. What we do want is to create an open ground where artists — beginners, teachers, masters — can come, practice, and exchange energy. A space alive with creativity.
Beyond Teaching: Creating and Sharing
The young team isn’t only teaching. They’re creating their own art too — bowls, cups, sculptures that hold both effort and story. As they grow, we’ll be showcasing and selling these pieces, both at Aavya and online. Visitors will not just take home a memory of Rishikesh, but also a handmade piece of the journey these artists are on.
The Aavya Way
So when you come to Aavya Pottery and Art Studio, you’re joining something bigger than a workshop. You’re stepping into a young team’s unfolding story, into a playground where artists and travelers collide, into a space that’s equal parts classroom, café, and creative ferment.
It’s raw. It’s real. It’s evolving.
And every piece of clay shaped here is part of a larger work in progress — the community itself.
An Open Invitation to Artists
If you’re an artist, sculptor, or creator passing through Rishikesh, our doors are open. Come, practice your craft, share a little of your process, and add your energy to this growing community.
At Aavya, we believe clay is just the beginning. The real art is what happens when people — young, old, experienced, or just starting out — come together to create.
